About Safecover Roofing

My name is Tyler Collins, and I got into the roofing business when I was 18 years old. I had just graduated high school and did what most of my friends were doing at the time — I went to college. I made it through two quarters before I got into a pretty bad car accident and totaled my car. My grades weren't great, and that's when my dad sat me down and said, "Son, you can either pay for your own college, pay for a new car, or you can ride to work with me." That moment changed my life.

My dad worked at a large local roofing company, and that's where my roofing career started. I learned the trade from the ground up — first on the roof, then running crews, then moving into sales and management. Seven years later, I was a branch manager. I loved the fast pace, the problem-solving, and the responsibility that came with protecting people's homes.

"I believed — and still believe — that if you build the best roof possible, design it to handle the toughest weather conditions, do the job right the first time, and truly stand behind it, growth will come naturally."

What I didn't love was how problems were handled. It felt more like a sales company than a service company. When roofs leaked, failed, or storms caused issues, the focus wasn't on standing behind the work or fixing the root problem. Instead, it was about reselling the customer, offering a small discount, and moving on. That never sat right with me.

So in 2018, at 24 years old, I started SafeCover Roofing. It wasn't glamorous. I ran the company out of my 1,000-square-foot house, working out of my garage with one truck and one dump trailer. Within months, we were roofing every day with the same mission: do great work, use great products, keep job sites exceptionally clean, and years down the road — if there's ever an issue or a roof leak — show up and make it right. No fine print. No excuses.

Today it's 2026 and SafeCover Roofing has grown to around 60 employees and three warehouses. My brother Brady manages our Longview branch, and I manage Chehalis. Ironically, we hired our dad, and he's now part of our management team.

We believe our growth comes from sticking to the same principles we started with. When customers choose SafeCover Roofing, we want them to feel confident they made the right decision — not just today, but years from now. That's what we're about.
